I recently had a horrible stay in Zurich with host **.
The place was filthy disgusting. I took photos are reported it to Airbnb.
They agreed that Host's listing was NOT up to Airbnb standards.
I wrote an honest review of how dirty his place was, mould in the fridge, grease dripping from the rangehood, leftover half eaten food from previous guests, dirty bed and sheets and a torn bedhead with holes in it, broken glass window in the bedroom with tape on it, the awning was broken, the curtains were hanging from the ceiling by a couple of plastic hooks, the neighbours were noisy.
Host retaliated by writing a scathing personal review about me that had nothing to do with the booking.
Two weeks later Host sends me a message on my private phone saying haha I got Airbnb to remove your review.
Yet when I ask Airbnb to remove his review about me that was nothing but slander Airbnb said no.
So after 7 years of hosting Host's one review has ruined my reputation.
In what world is that fair?
Typical Airbnb double standards.
Money is more important than the truth.
I have unlisted my properties because of Host's review.
Shame on him and shame on you Airbnb.
