Why me? I went live on airbnb in a city with no outright ban on short term rentals. In fact, short term rentals arent even me...

It is a gated community so we provide them with they access code. We do not meet them personally.
Yes, we have reinvested part of Airbnb payout to enlarge and pave our driveway to accommodate up to 3 guests' cars. So there are 3 free parking spots, making guests' check-in a breeze to load/unload their luggage.
This was probably one of your best investments, @JD29!
Did you notice a positive change in your bookings? 🏡
My vacation home is a river front property so the house in on stilts, so the already large parking area in front of the home extends under the house. We have one spot taken up with a kayak trailer and lawn mower, but the rest is open. Parking is listed in amenities. This is a new property for me and when I posted I forgot to take a pic of that side of the house showing all the parking space. We also have full RV hook ups listed in amenities, so stands to reason plenty of parking. I will definitely add a pic of the parking space.
Hello @Lori4053,
Thank you so much for participating in the conversation!
Yes! I think that including a picture of the parking space will help a lot! When are you planning on adding this into your listing? 📸
@Alex The river my home is on just had a major flood and it’s going to take a couple of weeks at least to get everything cleaned up and back repairs made. Once we get things ready to rent again I will add pics of parking area
Hi Alex. I certainly do offer ample parking to my guests. However, I can only offer one covered parking spot.
Hello, yes I offer guest parking
Hi Alex,
Lea here from NZ. We have street parking in front of our property, but in saying that we will certainly accommodate guests to drive down the end of the driveway in front of Our Hotel California and load their luggage into their accommodation. We also will have in the past if guests are very particular about their vehicle allowed them to park right in front of their accommodation. We have a boat parked down the back and caravan so we need access at all times. Our neighborhood is very quiet and plenty of street parking available so guests usually have no problem with the parking arrangements.
cheers Lea
We try too. In the winter, there is no street parking, so we have to juggle, figuring out which of the family members have to leave as soon as possible. So far, it hasn't been a big deal, but we have learned that our guests' needs are continuously evolving.
Parking is available for guests.
Guests can park in driveway.
I do mention if it’s a gated area, has a guard, or surveillance cameras.
if any restrictions I would explain with example : Only one car per booking. Cost it’s free.
Additional Notes: Please use the remote control to open the gate, or Do not block other residents’ spaces.
Best,
Joscelyne V.
Hi @Alex,
I host a full private home, and guests have access to both the driveway and the garage for their parking needs at no additional cost. I make sure to clearly mention this in my listing so guests know upfront that they’ll have a secure and convenient place to park.
I’ve found that providing this information ahead of time helps guests plan better and adds to their overall experience. Happy to hear how other hosts handle this as well!
Best,
Kenny
Hi Alex.
I'm hosting in a rural part of Ireland. We offer a full house and because of its location it is car dependent. We offer private parking on the property. We have plenty of space with parking for six or seven vehicles.

We have two car park spaces - essential as the vast majority of our guests arrive by car !
We have driveway parking for guests.
