Keeping reservations going

Hi everyone!

We just went live with our first Airbnb down in San Diego, where demand is pretty strong, and got our first 3 bookings within a few days. Super exciting. We offered the promotional 20% off for the first 3 guests, and I assume that the algorithm bumped us up some as a result.

Since then, I've lowered the price but it still has been crickets.  I'm guessing that we need to get some positive reviews now, in order to get the visibility back.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar start or any insights on the topic. Thanks!

-Phil

@Phil3544 Your listing info is incorrect. It shows all the beds in one bedroom.

@Phil3544 welcome! You have a lovely listing. I fear that you may have a few things that might attract some difficult guests. Not the question you have asked, but want to share some threads that may help.

@Phil3544 New listings do get a boost for the first while. As soon as you have a few reviews, that will help too. It's fine to keep your price lower to attract your first bookings, but be wary of going too low, as that will attract a poor quality of guest. Have you made a post on here asking for critiques of your listing yet?

colleen I haven’t asked for a critique yet but that’s a great idea, I will probably work on that tonight
