Hi @Nadia1040. Thanks @Bhumika  for the tag…

@Laurelle3  & @Helen744  are correct in their commentary, and you can’t go wrong making contact with Laurelle.

All Australian states and territories have their own regulations that are specific and their compliance (law) requirements differ depending on the use of a building. Commercial etc. That would include undertaking drills, inspections and the provision and maintenance of PPE. Fire PPE such as fire evacuation maps, fire hoses, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, exits, commercial exit lights and their maintenance log books etc etc.

However, I digress.

Some things to have and I DON’T know your laws.

Fire evacuation maps. If a complex, then these are probably in corridors to apartments.
Otherwise if a stand alone building you can usually make a floor plan or have some already. Scan. Photocopy. Remove (correction fluid or electronically) unnecessary information.  Use a free App to add information.
- You are here marked on map.  The floor plan/ map must be correctly oriented for the room and the “You are here” location.

- the direction to take/location of evacuation routes to the muster area. If none is designated, think about your personal property and create one. Include the location of fire extinguishers, blankets etc on the maps. You can also include some general instructions that can be laminated, and in situ.

I would have a fire blanket on your barbecue. Can be on a hook hanging or somewhere nearby. Is your kitchen near the same balcony as well? Noting your stove. Fire extinguisher/s. Note, if you don’t know how to use one, understand how to use one:PASS. Depending on its size, a fire extinguisher can only cover a small waste paper bin sized fire.

Always have hoses connected to outside taps.

Have a safety card with emergency information and the address! Guests will not know the address in an emergency!

I have a fire blanket exclusively at the barbecue. A separate fire extinguisher and blanket easily accessible to the whole area. Smoke detectors. A safety card and all equipment is regularly checked.Sample onlySample only

@Bhumika we have had telepne and visual messge contact with @Nadia1040 . We are sorting out an emergency plan. Also going the Airbnb dashboard.

I like @Cathie19 laminated emergency plan for the fridge door beacuse you can pick it up and carry out instructions if needed. Which I must implement my self to do.

I have had this set out in an Emergency folder which I sent photos to Nadia but in the process of following up via email.

Great work Laurelle! 💐👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
