I had a strict no cancellation policy and now my Abnb is nearly empty for the next two months because Abnb overrode my policy and I am without income over this time. They are not treating me with respect as an independent contractor, nor valuing me as a property owner as a host on their platform. They clearly are favoring the guest. If they do t respect the host now it won’t happen when the guest trashed your place or in other circumstances. I am already out the money for the next couple months, and I am doubtful I will get anyone in there over the next couple months, and at this point I don’t know if it is wise to have travelers in and out of the home over the next couple months so I am tempted to close shop, rent to a long term tenant, or live off savings for a couple months and switch platforms.
if any other hosts are feeling disrespected by Abnb I say we mass walk on them.
