I have just discovered that Airbnb is retrospectively providing refunds to guests who cancelled Airbnb Experiences before they announced their Covid-19 extenuating circumstances policy effective 14 March. I was contacted by Airbnb support this morning and advised more than a week after the guest cancelled that they would be fully refunded. I queried this and was advised it was an airbnb policy that had not been communicated to hosts and they wouldn't be!!!!! Beware. It infuriates me as I have lost money taking single guests on trips that cost me money to run so that I complied with the Airbnb policies that require hosts to provide experiences even if only 1 guest has booked. I have been committed to Airbnb Experiences and to be treated this way is disgraceful. Have other hosts had similar experiences?
