The responsibility of Covid-19 should be held by the host, guest, and Airbnb.

This is a disaster that no one has mentioned and no one knows about. The host and the guest should take the same responsibility as there has never been before. We must take the same responsibility everywhere in the world. This is the first time in the history of the world, so hosts and guests are responsible for 50% of the responsibility.

I don't think it is right morally or legally to force guests who cannot in any way benefit from a service to pay for it or part of it @Sarah3087 . Clearly in the vast majority of cases guests cannot travel and therefore can't use the accommodation.

I think hosts who haven't set aside income from their business for when things are slow, should look at alternatives to generate income such as long term lets, setting up their own FB page or website and offering local accommodation for those who might need to self-isolate etc.

Absolutely our situation is unique

The cancellation of this Covid-19 is an exception to our refund policy. This is because other guest will not make a reservation on the cancellation date of one guest. So this is an exception to all terms and conditions of Airbnb. So all cancellation of this disaster is the responsibility of Airbnb and its guests and hosts.
