Why not offer a stay voucher instead of making a broad sweeping out of line decision that hosts did not approve?

AirBnb is out of line for making a broad sweeping decision that hosts did not approve.  It would seem more appropriate to offer a travel voucher for the stay so that they would rebook and use their time on calendar and drop any associated fees you all would charge.  You cost me over $10K and you don't have the right to affect my business in such a way.  Anyone with any business minded brains up there?  @Airbnb   Please explain your otherwise fatally flawed rationale.
