Hello. I am very new to the hosting side of airbnb. I recently listed my property had no idea it had to go through review before it would be officially listed. After I waited the 24-72 hour period, I was still unable to see my property on airbnb and I got a notification that my listing was suspended??? After calling airbnb customer service , they said it was was some kind of technical issue. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how long it took for them to resolve it. We’re entering the holidays and I was really looking forward to getting my listing up and running before then. Thanks so much
@Adhina0 @Colleen253 @Sarah977 I'm guessing that in this case there actually probably is a real technical issue. The listing appears on Adhina's profile, but with a broken link (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/53308318). This is not what it looks like when a listing is intentionally suspended. I also kind of doubt that Airbnb would disallow a person from listing a space based on one bad review as a guest-- but that's of course just my speculation. I would continue to pursue resolution with customer support.
@Lisa723 Yes, I've never seen that empty listing box with a broken link before when a host says they were suspended. Normally the listing is still on the host's profile page, but when you click on it, it just takes you to the main Airbnb page.
But I've also never read a post where a host said their listing got suspended before it ever got published, have you? She submitted her listing but it never went live. So it's hard to know how that would appear on a profile page.
I can't see them disallowing a listing just because the user had a bad review as a guest, either, but it wasn't just a bad review- it sounds like the host filed a claim which was disputed, and though she said Airbnb sided with her, i.e. she didn't end up paying for damages, they might have paid the host out for damages on the host guarantee, so maybe there's some notation on her account that their algorithm picked up. Who knows.
@Adhina0check if you properly filled all basic info on your listing like payout info (bank account) , email, phone number, verified everything needed (check your emails if Airbnb sent you some), address, prices etc... maybe you forgot something
Hi, thank you to all the people that joined! It’s strange because when I try and view my property, sometimes it will be “paused” and other times it will appear that it’s listed. Technical support said it’s odd because on their end it says that everything is fine and it appears that It is listed and viewable to the public. Another tech said she’s never seen this before which is kind of worrisome but again, not a whole lot to go one since I don’t know her experience 😞 . But @Branka-and-Silvia0 I did not fill out the payout information until right after I listed it so I wonder if that has something to do with it UGH….
@Adhina0 make another listing from the scratch, if it becomes active you can delist this old one
@Branka-and-Silvia0 That isn’t something I considered but sounds like a really good idea. I’ll give it a couple more days and if I still haven’t heard anything I’ll try that thank you!
