Advice Needed

Hi Everyone,

I just had a couple book 2 guests for 3 nights, July 9-12. They have 13 five-star reviews, so I felt comfortable booking them. Then the guest messaged me that " just realized we were looking for a place but did not specify that we will have a guest with us when we made the booking. Four more people will be joining. All adults. Two of them will only be there for one night."

How should I bill them for this? He emailed me this evening that he needs to know tonight as he also has a hotel listing reserved and it's the last day to cancel and get a refund.

It seems to me like he's trying to buck the system and get out of paying for the additional guests. I'm uncertain how to respond to or handle this. Help!

Thanks in advance,

@Vina358 I would just go back to your listing's pricing and see what he would be charged for additional people and then tell him that this will be the extra charge. Even better just ask him to put through a change request with the additional people and he will then see the additional charges. Better still put through your own change request!

As the reservation is within the next two weeks I suspect he is already past the free cancelation period - Not that this is your problem!

Thank you, Mike-And-Jane0,

I was able to find the change request and send them the added charges. He agreed, and we are a go. Hopefully it will all go well, I'm new to all this and still learning how to navigate the Airbnb website. Thanks for your response, I appreciate hearing how others would handle this.

@Tomeka1  I don't know why you have suddenly started postting on this forum, as you have blank profile and do not appear to be either a host nor a guest.
