We all agree that one part of the total fee that we pay per reservation corresponds to the marketing services that are provided by Airbnb via all their channels ond of course their marketplace.
So I wonder, wouldn't be a good idea if we could have this "marketing" part of the fee saved in case we market our listings directly
E.g. Airbnb could provide a pro marketing page version where all reservations that are completed via this page can have a reduced service fee for the host (the typical fee minus the marketing fee).
This way we hosts would have a motivation to execute our own marketing campaigns (even paid ones) but instead of sending our leads to a direct booking site we could send them to the "Airbnb direct booking" site. So the host will not need a separate website, it will use the Airbnb pro marketing page for direct bookings and Airbnb will stil pocket a part of the fee instead of loosing it all to direct booking websites .
The host will save effort for maintaining multiple platforms and at the same time will be able to offer a reduced price to leads that are gained by his own efforts.
