Hello everybody
As the title suggests, itโs time to say farewell again, and this time itโs yours truly that is finishing up my time in the Airbnb Community Center.
My last day will be Friday 15th September.
Iโll be staying in the wonderful world of Community Management, but moving to another role, taking a wealth of knowledge and experience from my year and a half in the Airbnb CC.
It was a tough decision to leave, but I leave knowing that Iโm better for having been here with you all. Weโve shared a lot over the time Iโve been here.
My role here on the CC was only my second role working as a Community Manager and I feel like I have learned so much in the time Iโve been here both professionally and personally. Some of you I know better than others, but I hold such a deep affection and respect for all of you, for your very individual voices, and for your wealth of knowledge and professionalism.
While I never had the chance to Host on Airbnb, you all helped me be the best Airbnb Guest I could be, and Iโll continue to use that knowledge for future stays. Maybe one of these days Iโll even give Hosting a try!
Iโm so grateful for all the chats, for the honest advice and opinionsโฆ what youโve achieved here on the CC (and with your listings) is remarkable. What you do matters. You positively impact a wealth of people simply by coming here and sharing your knowledge and your lives.
Despite my sadness at leaving, I know youโll be in the very best of hands with Quincy, Bhumika, Paula and our wonderful new Community Manager Breanna.
Wishing you all the very best for the future,
Jenny
I was just taking a peek at my notifications and came across your farewell.
I am just, at present, enjoying the final touches of getting my place ready for guests.
here is a pick of my last project.
now I will put a work bench beside it, I boxed in my electric panel.
im saying hello to you because one of my first destinations is Scotland, and Loch Ness.
and I noticed Scotland under your name.
who knows, maybe Iโll bump into you one day, ๐
just saying hello and safe travels, keep the sunny side up โ๏ธ
and Scotland Iโm on my way, no rush.๐
Thanks @Holland6 - best of luck with your Airbnb journey!
Scotland is here for you when you're ready, Loch Ness is such a beautiful part of the world, and I hope you enjoy my country.
Take care!
Jenny
Thanks for all your assistance, comments and encouragement! You will be missed, here. Best wishes on the next adventure!
Kitty
Thanks @Kitty-and-Creek0 - I'm really going to miss everyone here! I'm sure I'll check in from time to time just to see how everyone's doing.
Take care,
Jenny

@Jenny It is sad news that you are passing on today.
You will be missed by many on CC Forum. I wish you well on your new endeavour.
Will you be going out on walking trails around Galashiels Boarders.
If travelling Downunder, I am sure there will be a couple of beds available, whether it be SA, NT or NSW.
Take care.
Thanks so much @Laurelle3 - I will miss everyone so much but will be sure to check in and see how you're all doing.
Interesting you should ask about walking, as I'm currently working to turn myself from a couch potato into someone fit enough to walk the Eildon hills! There's a number of trails that go up there, and I want to do the toughest one. We also have a walking festival coming up so I've signed up for one of the walks (a flat one!) as well.
My best friend lives in Brisbane and we've been talking about seeing some of Australia and NZ when I eventually make it over, so I'll be sure to touch base when that happens!
Take care and thanks again,
Jenny
@Jenny a holiday by the beach with the whitest, finest sands Huskisson in Jervis Bay is reported to be.
Are you going to do the 9.5km from Melrose to do the Eildon Hills.
