Booking Question

I had an inquiry this morning for three days, while working with that person another guest booked for three days. There was no overlap in their days (the first second person arrives the afternoon of the day following the first person's departure: guest 1 stay is 1, 2, 3, 4 and guest 2 would arrive on the 5th) but the first person could no longer book her trip. Why?

@Megan822

On Airbnb you book nights, not days. You state the first person was interested in 3 days, then later you mention 4 nights (1,2,3,4) , which is not logical.

But every answer can be found in your calender, as the nights to booked must be available.

Maybe you have a preparation time set for 24 hours, so it blocks autom. the date before and after each reservation ?

Check your calender !

Good point... the important part is that there is no overlap and yet guest one is now marked "not possible"

Checking the calendar now...

She's in there in gray. And it says "Awaiting Guest ID". Could that be the problem?

@Megan822 the "not possible" designation indicates that the dates are unavailable. Did you check your "preparation time" setting as @Emiel1 suggested?

"Awaiting Guest ID" could also be a problem, but I wouldn't expect it to result in the "not possible" designation.

Yes, the preparation time is set to none.

@Lisa723  Every Inquiry I have answered where the guest didn't follow through to book says "Not possible". It had nothing to do with the dates being unavailable.

@Sarah977 huh, I don't see that at all (until the dates are booked or have passed).

That's interesting... but she did follow through, has a confirmation # and everything.
