COVID-19 Payment denial based on arbitrary date - Not Fair

Airbnb publicly announced that they would pay hosts 25% of canceled reservations due to COVID-19 and then denied payments based on an arbitrary date! Yes, March 14th was a national announcement of the shutdown, but many states and institutions were canceling events prior to that date.

Airbnb needs to adjust its criteria and make good on their announcement for all reservations canceled due to COVID-19 for states that were earlier than March 14th to cancel events!!! Shame on them for "bait and switch" - announce publically and then deny payments based on an arbitrary date privately

I’m so sorry you’re going through this too! My situation is different, but the same in that promises were broken. I just spent 30 minutes replying to another post, and oddly enough it’s just disappeared - even the original post that wasn’t even from me! Broken hearted that I worked so hard and followed all the “Smart Tips” to be denied even an answer to a question!
