Can I reschedule a guest booking if they've technically checked in but been stopped by floods?

My guests have been cut off by floodwater and cannot make it to our property. They have been communicating with me along the way to let me know they would be delayed however, they are now unable to get here due to road closures and technically checked in yesterday. Can I reschedule their booking?

You can not reschudele a reservation which has already started, you can only shorten or extend it.

The guest can choose to cancel the reservation, maybe "extenuating circumstances policy"  applies, or travel insurrance will cover.
