Class Research Host Experiences

Hi Everyone! My name is Joel, I live in Superior, CO. I am conducting research for a class I'm taking about homestay platforms and wanted to hear about some of your hosting experiences! I just have a few simple questions for you that should take 20-30 minutes over the phone. If you are interested, please shoot me a message or reply to this thread!

Most hosts aren't going to make time out of their busy schedules to take part in research interviews with random strangers.

Why not create a proper survey with your university credentials and ask your local host group if you can post it there.

This class is through General Assembly, and it's a User Experience Design bootcamp that I am paying for. I understand most hosts aren't going to speak, so I really just need 1 or 2 more to interview. I have exhausted my local network which is why I am reaching out to a larger audience. As far as I'm aware this was just to the general Airbnb community platform, unless I am incorrect?

Hi @Joel1351 ! Appreciate you posting on our Community Center and reaching out to other Hosts for your research. Please know that I had to remove the survey link as it is not allowed to collect personal information or host surveys on the Community Center. 

If you would like to ask questions to the Hosts, please feel free to post your questions here as a comment in your post. I hope other Hosts get back to you for your research. All the best!

That’s what he said, general community platform. The only users here are guests and hosts. We weren't looking for “most hosts,” just those with the time and willingness to interview and we have received multiple through the community. Please take your attitude away from community members and let us work through our process. I’m sure whatever we’re doing for our project doesn’t affect you in any way
