Coronavirus protocol

I would like to know why I have received no email communication from Airbnb regarding hosting protocol to follow with guests during this outbreak.

Have any of you received anything?

Even the updated cancellation guidelines were not mailed out directly.

We cannot host safely unless Guests are automatically vetted by the system for

where they have been?

do they have flu of any description?
This needs to be managed by Airbnb as a company,  not up to us to try to figure out with the guests if they are sick or not.

Also, should IB not be suspended during this time? This infection is no longer restricted to China.

Almost anyone could be incubating in the near future.

What do you guys think?

I am fairly happy with the precautions that NZ are applying(we currently have 4 cases)  but if a traveller does become unwell with symptoms similar to covid-19 they are required to self isolate for 14 days . So even if my maximum stay is 2 days does that mean they have to stay for another 12 days. Because who else would want to take them :):

There are guidelines online with our  health line about cleaning but it’s a very sticky subject . Because if we did have a case of Covid -19 I imagine we wouldn’t be able to operate for a period of time?  https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-nove....  Let’s face it, it’s going to get worse before it gets better and there has
already been an article this morning  in our tabloids of a family from HK being refused entry to a Nz AirBNB on their way to their booking ( no symptoms)  pretty sad ay?

@Cindy237  How could Airbnb guests possibly be "automatically vetted by the system for where they have been"? You really think Airbnb could know every place their millions of guests might have been in the past few weeks? How would they even know if they were telling the truth?

Hi I have a couple of guest that want to prolong their stay mainly due to flight restrictions(Spain) caused by coronavirus. Shall they pay the regular price? Am I obligated to accommodate them for free?  Currently Spain is on ‘lock down’ .
