Covid refund

I cancelled a trip more than 14 days prior to the trip because my husband contracted Covid and the rest of my family and I need to be quarantined. I spoke to the host and to Airbnb provided the test results and only received a 500 refund. I contacted resolution who for days just kept asking me for more documentation! We are in a pandemic, they should really have a heart. I wasn’t asking for the entire deposit back just half. Anyone have any suggestions?

The COVID-19 extenuating circumstances cancellation policy only can provide full refund if the host or the guest is infected.Otherwise the normal cancellation policy attached will calculate the refund (if any).

The host can also give more refund (but it is not an obligation).
