Got this email from someone who is renting their apartment in NYC for $1,000
Hello Joshua,
I am happy for your interest and thank you for your feedback.
In order to make things happen, I have chosen Airbnb to move forward with this since they will take care of the entire viewing/rental process on my behalf. I used it in the past and I was very pleased with their services. I will contact Airbnb and they will start the process right away.
Once the booking is confirmed and completed, you'll be contacted by their Agent in maximum 3 days for the inspection meeting and to give you the keys and the contract signed by me.
If you agree with my terms and conditions, I need your full name, your actual address, the date you want to move in and the maximum estimated period of your staying.
Once you will provide that information I will forward it to Airbnb and the process will start.
All the best,
Britni
I know Airbnb has no agents but as I made the reservation, I saw reviews from them and apparently they seem to be all 5 starts.
Total scam. This person doesn't have a apartment in NYC or anywhere. They aren't who they say they are. The supposed Airbnb website they sent you to is fake, as are the reviews. If you send any money, you'll never see that money again, you'll never hear from the scammer again, and you won't have any reservation.
Please read the link below before you get suckered by this scam
