Extending a booking results in lower payout

My guest wishes to extend he stay, however when I attempt to do so it generates a negative payout.

Original booking

Jul 2, 2020 - Feb 28, 2021

Revised booking 

Jul 2, 2020 - May 15, 2021

Payout difference -$2,054 (This amount would be deducted from the original total if I add more 2.5 months to the reservation)

How is this possible?

@JC4 this can happen if you have different prices for different seasons, with smart pricing activated, routing rules containing price reductions, weekly or monthly discounts etc. That said, the system is full of glitches, so the best approach is to calculate the price and adjust the amount manually.

Thank you!!! On a closer look, there were big discounts in place that I did NOT authorized. I removed them, made the change and it worked. Happy 2021.
