[GAME] Shiritori: travel destinations

Hello everyone,

I would like to propose to you a game a little bit different from the ones we usually prepare, inspired by a Japanese word game: Shiritori. In turn, each of you will post one  word and each word must start with the last syllable of the word before it.

In order to keep the topic organised and allow for a bit of escapism, let’s only use words corresponding to destinations, e.g. countries, cities, regions, mountains, lakes, monuments.

Here is an example to demonstrate this:

Doncaster > Donnington

Now it's up to you to take the next step!

Wishing you all a lovely week ahead 🙂

Maybe we should stick to the emoji games ?

1. This city is an easy one:

2. This city is more difficult:

Sorry, it is not St Helena Island.

Hint: It is a city in Europe.

Blanes - Esk 🇦🇺. (not sure what the final syllable actually was, but carry on!)

@ Gillian166

Last syllable of Esk is sk sk according to the kransky sisters who live there so >Sascatchewan. H

@Helen744 Last syllable is not sk. A syllable needs to include a vowel. And even if the last syllable was sk, Saskatchewan doesn't start with sk.

@Sarah977, just doing that one phonetically Sarah. H.as in E...skkkk,as pronounced by the Kranksyyyy sssisters from Esssskkk to Sskatchewan. Like Banffff as in 'slowly I turned and bit by bit ......." H.

Can get from Nottingham > Hamburg

But from Louisiana > Annapolis gotta take a detour

@John5097  Last syllable of Louisiana is "na" :-).

Hence the detour through Naples  🙂

Edit: you can get from Louisiana > Annapolis with no detours
