Hi all, Is there a way for me to quickly add one co host into diferent listings? we manage around 35 listings and we want to ...
Hello everyone,
I would like to propose to you a game a little bit different from the ones we usually prepare, inspired by a Japanese word game: Shiritori. In turn, each of you will post one word and each word must start with the last syllable of the word before it.
In order to keep the topic organised and allow for a bit of escapism, let’s only use words corresponding to destinations, e.g. countries, cities, regions, mountains, lakes, monuments.
Here is an example to demonstrate this:
Doncaster > Donnington
Now it's up to you to take the next step!
Wishing you all a lovely week ahead 🙂
Quincy
@Ann72 I am totally confused. @Quincy has edited his original post (an option not open to us mere mortals apart from for a short period of time) meaning
1) Many of the replies/questions above now make no sense
2) We now know how to play the game
There were 3 options:
Pronunciation
Spelling
Random
I assume Quincy is going with random so the answer following Donnington can be anything anyone wants it to be!
@Mike-And-Jane0 I gleaned from the replies that the post had been edited, but thought the discussion amusing nonetheless as I could fill in the blanks from reading the replies 🙂
When we get clarification, I'm going to vote for spelling, since this is a written version of the game!
@Ann72 I agree it should be played by spelling and I haven't joined in because while I love word games, I can't handle games with no clear rules or playing with people who don't play by the rules. 🙂
@Ann72 this is tricky but Rangoon > Goonawindi , Was almost flooded in there for New years about ten years ago.
That sounds almost fun @Helen744? And I don't even know where Goonawindi is.
Meanwhile...Goonawindi -> Diyarbakir
Dambulla - La Rambla
@Gillian166 Nice one!
La Rambla > Blanes 🇪🇸

@Gillian166 looks as though you beat me.
@Quincy Thougt I would join in with the confusion of this word game of places around the world.
So taking your word Dambulla, I thought I would add Bullaburra (NSW Australia) it is a small town near the Blue Mountains. Aboriginal meaning "Blue Sky, or Fine weather, or Clear Day".
Bulla Burra sits in the world heritage - listed Blue Mountains National Park.
my posting has ended up on page 2 twice.
Hi @Laurelle3, I've noticed that! I'm removing those two duplicate comments now 😃.
haha @Laurelle3 I did think of Bulla itself, and wondered how many bulla~~~ names there are.
@Emilie all I can find that there is 5 ways to travel from La Rambla to Blanes via train, bus, car, plane, or shuttle. I am lost what direction does one take?
@Ann72 thanks for joining the travel around the world I wonder where we will end up?
