Guest's son glued a drawer shut

Several guests ago we noticed a drawer in a small piece of furniture, which was normally very easy to open, seemed jammed.  The drawer contained our charging cord for our Ring doorbell (its the battery one, not hard wired and we charge it between every guest. ) We chalked it up to wear and tear and bought a new cord.

Last night when setting up for our next guests, we finally got the drill out and broke into the drawer from the back of the furniture. It was clear that it was glued shut! We knew exactly which guests had stayed when we first noticed the drawer issue-- over 14 days ago now-- and I contacted the woman who has since been following me on social media. It seems her son, a teenager (who was also NOT on the reservation) had "accidentally" glued it shut. She "forgot" to tell us. Apologies. When I asked why he would glue a drawer shut in a stranger's home she said (and this is a direct quote) "he is a very creative kid."

So review has been left and it was good, no recourse there. I have officially heard everything. Otherwise on turnover there was nothing odd after this guest, though they did use more than 2 people typically do (which makes sense now, there were 3 and 2 dogs.) I am just so irritated.

Your guests are ‘special’ and I’m vaguely and strangely a little envious 🤪

@Amanda660  I know- I never have such weird guest stories to tell. My guests have all been pretty much normal human beings without strange ideas, attitudes, or behaviors.

I have friends who always seem to have crazy weird things happen to them. They've always got an "OMG, you won't believe what just happened" story. I would wonder if they just focused on things that some of us wouldn't notice or would immediately forget about, or whether they really did have more exciting lives than I do.

But after reading hosting forums for several years, I've come to the conclusion that some people just seem to have some kind of karma that attracts these situations and weirdos, even though the hosts themselves seem like perfectly normal folks.

My guests have been mostly very normal. My best host stories all concern the host...

@Laura2592 I  read your incidents with interest, maybe their is an inhouse challenge by your guests to do something different to see if your alerts are about so that can find a fix it. So far one of my guests over cooked or heated a scone in the microwav and the smell was in the cottage for 2 days. I had to remove the microwave and had to replace it.
