Anyonw knows a cleaning company who can clean after guest leave in windsor ontario in Canada
We had a guest who raised several issues after they had left, had a full refund.
We left a review for the guest who booked the stay roughly along the line of "XYZ raised issues after their stay, had a full refund, a mistake with instant booking, more suited to a hotel"
Turns out this guest is also a new host. 🤷♂️ Welcome to our world.
Apparently it is her "human right" to have the review removed, and who do we think we are "comparing us to other guests".
Have we missed something here, or isn't that exactly what the review system is for?
She did not leave us a review, stating she had dealt with it "professionally" and seems upset that we left her a review.
I'm going out on a limb here, but I think we are the ones who acted professionally by leaving a review for other hosts.
I referred her to airbnb support if she feels the review is inappropriate. Still the messages and whining continue. We don't reply any more. I feel that suggesting she contacts Airbnb support is a fair and final answer.
Thoughts?
@Kevin1322 Gee, that's funny, Airbnb never seems to think it's a host's "human right" to have a 1* revenge review removed.
She sounds like an entitled snowflake. Good on you for reviewing her honestly.
BTW, there is something strange going on with your profile. You have 50 reviews on the listing itself, but your profile shows 0 reviews.
@Sarah977 so true, airbnb does nothing to take off a revenge review. I had someone break multiple rules to the point of asking them to leave early WITH refund. One star review, the only reason I had it taken off was that they mentioned wanting an amenity that was clearly stated we didn't offer on the page (air conditioning).
my wife Sue gets the reviews, I am merely the co-host. 👍
@Kevin1322 How does this person figure thatstaying and then raising issues post stay and demanding and receiving money back is 'professional' behavior? That completely goes against the guest refund policy. So you paid for her stay and more. How did this all come to be?
You are perfectly within your 'rights' to leave an honest review. Well done there. Too bad the red flags weren't obvious enough before the guest was installed. I would block this person.
We have blocked them 👍
@Kevin1322 You should make the first line of your listing "Bikers and hikers only!" Who needs these entitled dips**ts. 🙂
That the guest could have a negative review removed is highly concerning. I count on reviews not just to protect my property but my personal safety. I'm just coming up on my first year hosting and so far had great guests. But ... if @Kevin1322's guest had a review removed, who's to say the same guest hasn't had multiple reviews removed? Until a pattern is established (at least 3 seriously negative reviews by the host OR guest, they should stay.
@Debi79 I don’t think the guest was successful in getting the review removed. She just wants to. Hopefully @Kevin1322 will clarify or give an update on that.
Our review is still there.
It would be very concerning if she could get a negative review removed easily.
The USP of this platform is honest reviews of hosts by guests and of guests by hosts. 👍 (imho)
