Hi All.
Guest books for 30 days and says they may want to stay longer. They check in and love it. I offer them a longer stay and they reply "We had an offer accepted on a house and won't need to stay longer than the original 30 days." Then, conveniently after Labor Day weekend, they say my place is dirty and they "feel uncomfortable staying there." I've been a superhost for 3 years now and have nothing but 5 star reviews.
My thinking is they can move into their new house and want to leave early. I had this once before where a guest wanted to leave early so they could move into their new house. When I refused they started claiming my place was dirty etc. But they had already been there 2 weeks and I had a bunch of messages from them telling me how much they loved the place.
AirBnB is siding with the current guests and allowing them to move out early, along with giving them a refund for the time they haven't used. AirBnB is claiming I'm not meeting hosting requirements.
As an aside, AirBnB service is now HORRIBLE. All they do is forward the guest complaints and suggest we work it out ourselves. I've paid AirBnB over $30k in the past 2 years, so I expect actual customer service from them, not just forwarding messages.
Any advice from the community?
