Has AirBNB quetly changed cancellation policies?

"Strict

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in."

I am pretty sure with "Strict" there was no cancellation 30 days prior to check in. Now it is 7? ??????????

The strict policy hasn’t changed - it has been like that for a long time. I just recently (post covid) changed to the moderate cancellation policy.

@David8879 Like @Sandra856 mentioned, the Strict policy hasn't changed. What you might be thinking of is the Super Strict 30 days policy where if guests cancel at least 30 days prior they receive a 50% refund. You might already know but just in case, you can find the cancellation policies here. 🙂

That might be it! I could swear that "Super Strict" were available before, not just "for special hosts" as they appear to be now.
