I've been a airbnb member for 11 years. Not even one host has requested money from me: I booked a condo in havana on august 10- until september 9. The host sent a message that he can trade used electtronics for cigars. I said ok. I have a 2015 macbook pro, ill trade it for a cigar.
Anyway I gave him the laptop, and the cigars the gave me the so called "cohiba" cigars, turned out ot be fake. After I confronted him on whatsappi his attiude became very unfreidnly. I was so scared that on August 13 I booked a hotel until 17th. And on 17th augusg I left havana for bogota because I was scaed of rhis guy.
Anyway. After leaving the coıuntry. I told the resolution center about his intimidaitng beheavior. He counteracted by requesting a 500$ compension caiming that he foıund traces of white powder, syringers and controlled medicaitons ihte house. He says i desroyed the kiteched. I did not even enter the kitchen. I stayed in that place ofr only 3 days
Yes there was traces of controlled medication, but I have a prescription of it. I uploaded it it to the resolition center. He said I stole his phonei yes I had to take the pocker phoen with me becuase thats the only was I can use internet in cuba. On whatsapp İ sent him a message asking for his full postal adress so i can send the phone back. I sent thsi essage befre he made the complaint that I stole his phone. The phone is woth 50$
He said there are syrings aeverywehre. yes its truei those are testerone ijections i use, I receive testrerone theraphy. I didnt have the chance to get rid of it because i had to leave the country in a jurryç
Anyway lets ge to the point. Airbnb safety team conteacted me saying they will taalk on the phone with me to get the fist hand details. Until that day my account is limited I cannot make any new boojkins and upcoming reservations will be canceled. I will very said about this, as i am the victim here.
The host even lied about me bringing guests to the house, this is horsehit. There is a cctv camera right in front of the door entrace. No one was there expect me. ANd yet my account is limited.
in 10 years not even 1 host has made a money claim form me, but i have sent then money countless times for the items i damaged without them asking for it. I respect the hosts rules and house a lot.
Airbnb said I sbould of made the complaint in the firirst 72 hrs. I did not to that, my friend in the embassy said make the complaint after you leave cubai, bnecause they wont let you out of the country until the police investigation is finished. Cuba is one of the countries which still imposes as a exit visa
Until 23 august my account is limited until I talk to the safety case manager..
I also uploaded documnets about my criminal record, which is basically empty
Dear my host friends, I am very scared of my account gettting banned as airbnb means a lot to me. What should i say to the safety case manager when he contacts me regarding the situation.

I mean he is basicallt of accuing me of using cocainei in a coıuntry you cant find aspirin. I feel very very mistread. Its not always that the hosts get unfair treatment. Sometriiems the guests too as well.
