How do I enable "Extend your trip for free" option

I currently have a 2 night minimum stay requirement. I'd rather have this as 1 night minimum but be able to bump up the price for a one night stay.

When I was checking out other listings in my area I saw a listing that had quite a high nightly rate for a single night but with a message "extend your trip for free - add another night at no extra cost".

I am interested in this setup as it gives the guest the option to pay the higher fee for one night if they wish but also allows them to extend to two nights at no extra cost.

However, I can't see where to enable this option - does anyone know how to?

Thanks,
Matthew

@Matthew1601  never heard of it and couldn't find anything like it on my dashboard.

But, is this message automated, by Airbnb, or does that host just write it by himself? If the latter then he can do it manually, send a special offer for example.

Hosts mostly use "cleaning fee" for this purpose. As it is a fee per stay and not per day it makes shorter stays more expensive.

Hello, thanks for your reply. It definitely looked like it was automated and in the sidebar.

I believe I've worked out what it is. I think the host has set a higher nightly rate and then given a large discount for 2 or more nights. I think this then made the message automatically appear. When I added an extra night for the booking it then changed to "add another night for just an extra £30".

Thanks for the tip on the cleaning fee. I have added a cleaning fee but didn't want to make this too high in case it looks unreasonable and puts people off.

Thanks,

Matthew
