If guests do last-minute cancellation, does it affect the next host to refuse them?

HI, Hello all

I'm a guest but I don't know where to ask, I post here..

thanks

I actually today cancelled 2 bookings, 1 was from tomorrow, the other was 10 days from today

The reason is that my conditions were not matched to the host's

I didn't know because I forgot to ask it in the first place, and the hosts were not offended or anything, because we conversed the chat so politely before they asked me to cancel

My question is, When the host click the guest profile, they can check the reviews on the guests, and does it appear some sort of message "this guest cancelled 2 times recently" or whatever?

Because, I wanted to book other properties 2 times, today, but they both refused.

@Yuri266   What appears on your profile that you can see is the same thing hosts can see, so no, there is nothing that says you cancelled reservations.

So I couldn't say why you got declined.

But if you are going to be cancelling reservations, especially last-minute, because you "forgot" to ask the host about any special requirements you have, or because you neglected to read all the info provided before booking, that is a poor way to treat hosts, no matter if they are polite enough to not appear to be "offended". It isn't a matter of being offended, it's a matter of your bookings blocking their calendars so they are left with no income for those dates you then cancelled. Airbnbs aren't hotels, where if a guest cancels, another person will probably walk in the door looking for a room within a short period of time.

Yes I feel the reason why I got declined is the instant karma

@Yuri266  I see you are also a host 🙂 You are refused maybe... probably.... because you tried to book for tomorrow and many hosts, especially off-site hosts don't like last min bookings. It may be they already have other plans for tomorrow or their unit isn't ready or they want to give Airbnb more time to process your payment before you check-in.

Do you know you will not be refunded immediately, it takes about 7-10 days until your refund comes to your bank account. Are you sure you have enough founds on your account to pay for new bookings?
