Hi Everyone out there I'm Dr Shailesh Bhadla from India I'm a passionate traveller and wildlife conservator since school time...
There are a lot of flowers blooming in the garden at home.
When I come back my home, I am able to see a beautiful colour of plants such as rose, pansy, fringed pink (looks like a carnation) and so on.
What kind of flowers do you prefer? 💐🌹
I like anemone do I think because it looks nice gradation and give me a passion for me.
In Japan, You can enjoy the cherry blossoms from March to April.🌸
If you have any opinions, Please describe the comments.
Take it easy!
Thank you for your reading.
Hi @Minako10 ,
Such a beautiful array of flowers! When I went to Japan, it was September so we didn't see any sakura but we did see the sumo wrestlers training. I would love to go again very soon!
In England, my peach has started to blossom and my rose is covered in buds ready for warmer weather. My tulips and daffodils have just finished.
I'm going to take some fellow gardeners here so they can share their wondrous green spaces!
Thanks
Thank you for your replying @Stephanie .
Yes, You can enjoy a lots blooming trees in April in Japan.
When you take a chance to go to Japan again, I would like to recommend you to walk around the "nippon budokan ".
Before the pandemic, A lot of foreign tourisms came to there and they are taking some pictures.
It will be pleasure you not only cherry blossoms, but also museums and good foods!
Enjoy your travel someday!
@Minako10 love this subject. Thank you for starting it.
@Stephanie there is lots happening in the garden. The weather has been a bit gloomy these past couple of days, plus I am running around at meetings, but I will try to take some photos. I love this time of year when the garden really starts to come to life.
Thank you for your replying @Huma0.
I had also read about Stephanie happening.
I was learned about it isn't easy to keep
the good condition in the garden.
I also will be learning about it in the future when I get starting my garden.
Thanks
Our garden is going into winter hibernation at present, It's been a wonderful summer where we have sat with guests on many a lovely still afternoon and taken in the soothing Karma the garden has given to us over a wine or two........
But the nights are closing in, the leaves from the Liquid Amber and Elm trees all over the garden are ready to drop......
And I have the perfect solution.........
I have this kick a*se battery operated mulching machine which vacuums up all my leaves, chops them up and turns them into mulch........
I have an old Fisher Price children's portacot which has mesh sides and is ideal for storing these mulched leaves.....
All I do is put a bag of mushroom mulch and some Seamungus fertilizer in, mix it all around, let the rain do it's job over winter and I have an abundant supply of wonderful garden mulch in September.....and the plants just bloody love it, they literally jump out of their skin!
Ade is the gardener, but she is a good teacher.....I sure am learning!
Cheers.........Rob
Thank you for your replying @Robin4
I read your enjoyable story and that's interesting for me.
I hope to have my house and garden in the future.
I would like to grow some vegetable and I spend nature life everyday.
but, I should be caring them from enemies (ex. insects, heating and so on.)
I think...
I also have the garden story.
An insect is coming to flowers and biting some leaves.
my grandmother was irritated it and stamp on it...
Thanks
Absolutely beautiful @Minako10 and @Robin4. I have some dianthus, too, in my rock garden, Minako. The intense pink next to the rocks is very pleasing.
But I got to Maine last week and there is barely a touch of green. Everyone is in despair! The only thing I have so far are these checkered lilies (fritillaria meleagris) with some lady's mantle at their feet:
Thank you for your replying @Ann72 !
Oh, That's interesting story and flowers!
When I looked the picture, I have never seen it in Japan.
I thought it looks like a tulip.
but according to internet, I found such as a type of similar to it in Japan.
The type of Japanese lilies is smaller than it and the colour is white.
It is pretty fritillaria meleagris and dianthus too.
If you are interested this flower, I would love to check on the internet!
Thanks
I think it looks like a tulip too @Minako10. I would love to see the one you have in Japan any time!
What a lovely discussion! Thanks for starting it, @Minako10!
I'm loving everyone's beautiful photos and words!
Thank you so much @Jenny .
It is important for me to see flowers and trees when I am tired!
It get me an energy.
The Japanese cherry blossom trees are really beautiful !
If you take a chance, I would love to look at it.
Thanks
@Minako10 I've only ever visited Tokyo on business and so really left the hotel or the customer's office. We do have Japan on our list to visit when we sell our rental properties in a few years time. What is the best time of year to visit?
Thank you for your hearing to me @Mike-And-Jane0.
Well... If you take a opportunity to visit in Japan, The autumn season is the best I think.
I have two reasons the reason why I recommend you this time.
To begin with, It's the best climate in the year.
Second, There are a lots Japanese maple trees are very colourful.💐
I often heard of that the image of Japan is spring, but you are also relaxing in autumn 🍁
It isn't located in Tokyo but if you go to the northern-west(hokuriku), it will be impressed by beautiful place because colouring red, yellow and orange.
The place is popular not only foreign tourists, but also japanese people.
I am not sure the best answer for you, but
If you are interested it, why don't you check on the internet at "Hokuriku(sightseeing)" or "Kouyou in Japan"?
Thanks
My favourite flower is the lily, specifically the calla lily. I'm so fascinated by the calla lily just being one petal beautifully wrapped around its core. It's often used in funeral arrangements, which interestingly actually started because of the flower's representation of resurrection and rebirth in Easter services.
When I visit Japan, I'd love to go see Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo and visit Osaka Castle @Minako10 !
