Is there away to block a tenant from listing on Airbnb?

Hi,

I have a client who has an oceanfront home, and they do not want their tenant to use their home as an AirBnb. Despite explicitly stating it in the lease and offering warnings tenants continue to post on airbnb.

If you look on Airbnb Help there is an email  contact, your client can use to report their place is being illegal sub-let  by a tenant. They should also call Airbnb on the relevant customer services number. And follow up on social media if they provide proof and Airbnb doesn't take down.

If I was in that situation, I would also post notices on the property.

Presume your client has also started legal proceedings to evict as this is an ongoing issue? @Daniel6954

@Anonymous  Airbnb does actually have a function to shut down illegal listing where the landlord can show this is down contrary to the lease.

@Daniel6954 Your client needs to take action directly with the tenants to enforce the terms of the lease.  Airbnb doesn't have a feature that allows you to to shut down other people's listings.

I THINK (you can check with Airbnb to be sure) that Airbnb will only allow one host to list a property at a single address.  If your clients create their own listing for the address, and snooze the listing or block the calendar, this may stop the tenant from listing the same property.

Also, they should report the listing to Airbnb every time it pops up, as fraudulent.
