It certainly appears to have been happening that way until guests started complaining- and then Airbnb changed their tactic and started refunding everything in full.
They issued a statement yesterday to say that they’re refunding in full.
Clearly this wasn’t the case from the outset, as we are hearing reports of vouchers being issued for service fees- and seeing screenshots of being the case at some point.
I messaged 5 guests yesterday to ask their exactly how they were refunded- they all said in full and to their original payment method of payment.
