We have all taken a beating this month and probably the next few months. Sadly some hosts will leave the platform for multiple reasons. We will also be partly blaming Airbnb for this. I understand both sides. We, as hosts, don't want to be left in the dust after supporting this platform for many years. But I also understand Airbnb's perspective. I believe, they are concerned about their long-term viability. As hosts, we should also be concerned about this as well. Long story short, how do we suggest Airbnb makes it right for hosts. Couple of ideas I have:
• Reduce fees for hosts for a period of time.
• Suspend Superhost assessments for a period of time
• Offer guests travel insurance for their stay. Maybe hosts get a small cut.
• Offer hosts an insurance policy to cover "extenuating circumstances."
Any Suggestions?
