Possibly yes.  But as a brand new Airbnb guest, you will have a hard time finding a place to stay, if a last minute booking.  Most guests know to book weeks or months in advance. Any new guest who may want to book in less than 24 hours sends red flags to hosts.  The experiences from hosts, IMHO, is that the potenential guest is new, inexperienced and has no reviews.  This is a very major concern to those hosts who willingly share their homes.

Airbnb is not the same as a hotel/motel. Airbnb is a marketing platform for millions of individual small businesses to list and market their homes .
