Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula and @Rebecca   and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌

Hello everyone, my wife and I are from sunny Florida, USA and we have been traveling to Western North Carolina for many years as we love nature, hiking and the small town vibe. Sure enough 3 years ago we bought our little cabin in the mountains located in Franklin, NC and just last month in June we officially started hosting our place. It's been a great experience thus far and looking forward to hosting more guests as they create wonderful memories. Glad I chose Airbnb as the platform of choice and the support has been great.

A little bit about myself, I'm self employed and work in content creation/ecommerce/marketing for brands and my wife works in Healthcare.

Hi @Carlos5710 ,  Your cabin in the mountains sound like a perfect getaway for nature lovers 😍  It's nice to hear that you've had a positive experience hosting so far.

Given your marketing and content creation background, does it come handy for promoting your listing? Do you have any listing marketing tips to share with other Hosts? 👉 What are some successful ways you've promoted your Airbnb listing? 👈

Thank you Bhumika! I will say yes only because I 'm currently working on building a website for the cabin that will be a source to bring traffic to my airbnb listing. It will have basic information, things to do, restaurants, etc...Then I opened up a social media account via insta: thehappymountainhome to be able to give people some behind the scenes videos, highlight restaurants, wineries etc...this I hope will grow and it has the airbnb listing linked on the profile. 

In addition I'm only using Airbnb and it has worked out great!

On the day to day, my wife and I love talking to people so its easy for us to immediately reply to guests questions, create itineraries for them, and be helpful to them when they need it. 

As Airbnb already mentioned, very important to have excellent images. I did mine rather quickly, but I did use my professional camera. I also spend time on the calendar making sure prices are fair and updated with discounts etc...

I'm sure I will have more tips along the process.

Hello Everyone, I'm Andy. A very new 2-day listing in Air BNB. Man, there are so many settings to go through. So you guys are awesome 😄 I'm a special lecturer at Price of Songkhla University and an entrepreneur. Currently, not only new to Air BNB but also about to launch a new start-up called "Nest Space Habitat" which sells a Lego-style house made from steel. I'm a father of a lovely baby girl and love eating so much 555. I live in a southern part of Thailand but my listing property is in the heart of Bangkok shopping district. My listing is no more than 10 minutes from BTS Phayathai and the Airport Rail Link. So My guests can use my listing as a strategic location for optimal trips in BKK. Also, the property is operating via a smart home system. So guests will be completely private except for housekeeping visitation. Anyway, thanks Bhumika for letting me into this awesome community.

hello super host all over the world in this community. I have been with Airbnb for almost 2.5 years and have been a super host for 2,2 years after the first 3 moths join Airbnb.  I Hope that it will always be like that in the future.

Hi everyone! I'm Shandelle. I'm originally from Arkansas, but I'm now on my 12th move in 13 years. It's been so exciting living across the US. I'm now located in Memphis, TN and my husband and I have our first Airbnb in Arkansas. We cater towards traveling workers with a home that we spent several months remodeling. It's been a wonderful experience so far!

We love to travel and staying in Airbnbs is one of our favorite ways to experience new places.

What inspired you to start hosting on Airbnb, and what has been the most rewarding part of your hosting journey so far? ✨🌍

We realized that a town near our hometown was really lacking in options for traveling contractors. We had a family member with a house they were looking to sell in the same town and so we all went in together! We have a portfolio of long-term rentals, so we based everything off of that, but we're really loving the Airbnb experience. It was so much fun for me during the remodel process and it makes me feel great that I was able to create a comfy space for guests in the area.

I’m Roger. My wife and I have hosted on Airbnb for 4 years at our shared home in Milan, Ohio just south of Sandusky. We are very close to Lake Erie and one of the world’s best amusement parks, Cedar Point, ranked for many years as having the most roller coasters of any park. We stayed at someone’s shared home in 2020 and thought, “Hey, we have two guest rooms. We could do this.” It has worked very well. The best part is meeting people from all over. In a polarized world it affords the opportunity to come together and share.
