Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula and @Rebecca   and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌

Usually our Hosts have discussed in the Community Center about repeat guests , and they often talk about offering special discounts to guests who return for another stay. Have you thought of offering discounts to such repeat guests?

Hi all! I'm a new Airbnb host and am breaking out into the STR/MTR spaces.  My first listing is in Mesa, Arizona and is a 3BD/2BTH.  This has been a lot of fun so far, but also a huge ongoing learning experience.  Happy to have found this forum with like-minded individuals and mentors.  Nice to meet you!  🙂

Hi @Erin8045 , Welcome to the Community Center 🌻.  Congratulations on setting up your first listing. How has been the experience so far? What has been the biggest learning since you published your property? 😉 Do you have any hosting related questions that you'd like to ask other Hosts?

I noticed your listing photos and they look lovely 😍 Have you decorated your listing by yourself? Or took help from an interior designer? I love how you ensured putting in beautiful colors to make your listing attractive 😍

Thanks, @Bhumika!  It's been quite a wild ride!  I'd say the biggest lesson so far is keeping the financials tight and I wish I hadn't learned the hard way.  I am still not having any luck in getting it rented out.  As a mid-term rental and a first-time host, I'm pretty nervous that I won't be able to get it rented at a rate that will work for me.

Thank you for your sweet comment on the photos.  I did the decorating myself.  

If any fellow mid-term hosts have any input or know of any Phoenix area meetup groups, I'd love to connect and learn from some experienced hosts!

My name is Maurice, but my friends know me as Muhyiddin,

I moved to Gower, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in South Wales about two and a half years ago with my wife Asiya. We built an annexe onto the side of our home, which looks out onto a golf course/common area, where cattle graze in the summer. We're less than a mile from Three Cliffs Bay which has been voted the best beach in Wales.

Our place sleeps four people in a double bedroom and on a sofa bed in the living area. We're expecting our first guests in August

Special greetings from Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪!

My accommodation is in the heart of Westlands, behind the wonderful Kempinski Hotel with a view of the Arboretum forest and Ng'ong hills at a distance. Very secure area near embassies and AU buildings.

I also have another listing located in one of the best parts of Buenos Aires-Puerto Madero, just near the Hilton Hotel! Views of the park and the port from either side with rooftop pool makes this location beyond magical! Argentina remains one of my fav countries till date 🇦🇷

Been hosting since 2018! & the Airbnb changes/improvements have been yummy! 💖
Love Airbnb SO darn much- it's super intuitive both for hosts and guests alike!

Despite of what the country is going through right now Kenya is peaceful, wonderful to visit .We have maintained our culture and we have wide opportunities for tourists and locals to visit.

l started hosting in 2017 , l have enjoyed the journey  all through and acquired the skills and opportunity of meeting different guests from different backgrounds and cultures.

My listings are all situated at the heart of kilimani. Here you find fine Restaurants  to dine and nightlife clubs if you feel to chili out.

Am always thankful for the opportunity to be in the great platform of Airbnb.

I heard about hosting from a lady at a function - and decided to give it a shot! 
I never even knew about this world, that it was possible, or people would want to be guests in my home!

So far my guests have been awesome, and the bookings nonstop!
