Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca  and @Elisa  and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

Hi - I'm Geri from the fabulous village of Duck North Carolina, in the Outer Banks.  My husband, Robert, and I retired here from Richmond, Virginia, and we're renting out a cute little apartment that we call The Hive!  I love travel, cooking, reading, painting, and breathing in ocean air!

Hey Paula - we just listed at the end of July, and in 2 days were booked for all of August and a couple of weeks in September.  We're pleased!  Today was our first crossover day - it was a bit stressful!!!  As of now, since we live on the property, we're doing the cleaning.  So there's a wee bit of a learning curve!  We're moving into THE best time at the beach, but people don't have as much free time.  So we'll see how the weeks pan out.  - Geri

Hey everyone, new member here. I've been a host on Airbnb and VRBO for about a year now at at our primary home on the east side of the Springs just north of Peterson. Technically we are just outside city limits. I've been fine-tuning our approach to focus on the higher-end renters and have distinguished ourselves with amenities others don't offer. Looking forward to discussions of what works and what doesn't!

We are Buy and Rent At The Beach Realty located on the East Central Coast of Florida in beautiful

New Smyrna Beach, Florida. 

We have many rentals, ocean front with pools, condos, houses, apts., cute cottages in every price range and many take beloved 4 legged kids aka pets. :O)

Great restaurants, lots of nature from Manatees to dolphins ,tropical birds, sea turtles nesting in our national park. 

I am one of the realtors here and have lived over seas and have traveled all over the world for years thru  my work and also just for fun.

Hi all!  My name is Cathryn and my partner and I started hosting about a month ago.  We wanted a part time vacation home near some hiking in Ohio and airbnb is helping us with that.  We have two dogs, and love staying active and trying new restaurants.  Looking forward to going on this adventure with everyone!

Hello everyone! I am very new to this gig, and not sure what to expect and how this will go. I have friends and family who have been doing this for years, and they all have great things to say, so I figured I'd try since our property is just sitting empty. I work full-time as a software developer in Phoenix, AZ. I enjoy gardening, decorating, as well as refinishing furniture. I am looking forward to see how things will go with hosting!

Hi, my name is Emre, and I am an Airbnb host in Turkey. I have been a host on Airbnb since October 2023 and have been a Superhost for all the periods I have hosted. Yesterday, my account was suspended without any reason given, and this situation has affected me very badly. I am not getting any responses, and I thought maybe I could get some help here.

Hello @Emre148, I am so sorry about this.

I just wanted to share that our Community center team isn't part of the support team. So, there isn't much we can do in these cases. The best route of action in this case is to keep the conversation directly with the support team.
