Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca  and @Elisa  and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

Living in the Canadian prairies must offer a unique perspective as a host. 🌾 What’s been your favorite part of hosting so far? And do you have any travel destinations on your wishlist that you're excited to explore?

So far I have only had about a dozen guests.  My intent was to provide affordable prices for people visiting ailing family members at the hospital since I am across the street. At the moment I had a guest who lives out of town and is a nurse working nights. I love the feeling of being able to help people.

The perspective I have of being a host on the prairies is that my guests have been people crossing this large country of ours. After all travelling from Toronto to Vancouver is like going from Moscow to Madrid. It takes many days to drive. I do my best to be a good Ambassador of Regina and tell my guests some of the history of this fair city.

My grandfather immigrated from Norway so my next vacation will be there in 2026 and I have been scouting out AirBnB opportunities already. After that I would love to escape the Canadian winters by visiting Central and South America.

Your dedication to hosting is truly inspiring! Hosting a dozen guests may look small on the surface, but the impact you're making by providing an affordable place, particularly for those visiting sick loved ones or working at the hospital nearby, is beyond measure. A little kindness goes a long way.

Will it be your first time in Norway? Because as someone who's visited Norway a few times, I can promise you - it's a trip you'll remember! Plus, your idea of escaping to Central and South America in the winter is genius - warmth, history, and culture, all rolled into one!

I am Jo and along with my husband Chuck, we began to host here in Massachusettes, USA.  New England is in the beautiful season of autumn and already our first guests have come and gone with more coming in the next few weeks.  Our surroundings have many trails, lakes, and rivers to explore. This is an exciting adventure in our retirement.  We are glad to be part of the community.

I'm wondering if you know, will the Eufy locks be compatible with the Air bnb smart lock integration soon? or do i need to replace my locks for that to work?

I'm afraid I haven't used those locks myself, however if you start a conversation and ask the wider community, I'm sure other Hosts will be able to give you some more advice. 😃

My name is Ananya Pandey, from Kolkata, India. I'm new to hosting and looking to dive deeper into the realm of real estate. I am looking to co-host properties and learn in the process. Figuring out how to get started as a beginner and belief the community will show me the light. 🙂

I enjoy escape rooms and pampering my loved ones by recreating personal filmy experiences for them. I have a keen eye for observing patterns and be the counsellor friend for people.

Working from home as a Manager(Team Lead), I am looking for opportunities for financial growth and planning.
