Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Hello everyone, my name is Hunter Holdridge and I currently reside in West Texas. We have several properties around here and looking to expand in the future!
Hi
I am Bob my wife is Chris , we live in Tallahassee Fl.
we have been in Airbnb about 2years. We did it in our old house with our travel trailer.
We love camping. We started the new house on Airbnb, which is a 1955 I’d century modern in September.
When we have a guest we go camping.
Bob and Chris
Hello @Robert-William1,
Welcome to the community to both you and your wife Chris! Do you always go camping in the same area, nearby perhaps in case the guests need you, or do you use those opportunities to explore different spots? 🏕
I am in Ohio with two houses listed and another five houses that I manage for other owners. I also added a house in Arkansas when our daughter moved there so we have a place to stay when visiting her and she cleans it for us between guests. Love hosting and meeting people.
Hello @Barb4077, and welcome 👋
That's quite a lot of properties! What would be your top tip for other hosts in terms of overseeing multiple listings efficiently? 💡
Greetings Denisse here. I was born in Ecuador and moved to the states when I was 15 years old due to my father's work. I currently host a 1/1 suite annex to my house in Raleigh, NC. My goal is to bring guests a place with a clean and modern feel but at the same time, a place where they can feel like home. My inspiration is Le Meridien Hotels b/c I like the simplicity yet affluent vibe w/out coming across like a "W" hotel wh/ trends to be more fun and obnoxious. I started my application to host like seven years ago and it wasn't until July/September of this year that I started to Airbnb the place. It's been a solid learning experience thus far and I am using the funds so I can send my teenage daughter to Summer camp in New York....as a single parent, not easy but hey, neither is adulting I tell you :)!
Hello @Denisse115,
Welcome to the community, we're so happy to have you here. 😊
I wasn't familiar with Le Meridien Hotels but I can see how you it's inspired your listing. What has been the most valuable lesson you've learned since you started your hosting journey?
I'm right there with you on adulting! 😉😂

Hello @Megan1390,
Welcome to the community! Your home in Georgia in beautiful, I can tell you're a real estate aficionado. 😍
What are some of your favourite features in homes? I find arches and exposed beams incredibly charming for example!
Hello from the Sunshine Coast, Australia!
I'm Radhika, a Hong Kong born global traveller, professional photographer, lover of the outdoors, wildlife, yoga and hiking.
I feel very grateful to be a part of this community and strive to offer a fabulous and memorable level of hosting to all my guests that stay at my Shabby Chic Studio. I've been a host for the past 5 years and I hope to expand my knowledge and gain new opportunities of hosting for others on this platform. I very much look forward to working together.
Best regards to all...
Hello @Radhika25,
Happy to have you in the community, welcome! 5 years of hosting now, that's quite a milestone, congratulations. 🎉
What are some of your favourite activities to recommend to guests on the Sunshine Coast? ☀️
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks so much!!
A few of my favourite things to do are - sunsets at Gympie Terrace over looking the Noosa river, the sunsets here are stunning :))
Mount Ninderry climb with magnificent views overlooking the Noosa hinterland and Maroochy river.
Noosa National Park walk - Little Cove beach to Hell's Gate, this walk takes you past some of the best surfing beaches in the world and is arguably one of the most stunning coastal national park walks.
Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is a 3km sub-tropical rainforest loop walk that takes you thorough lush vegetation with an abundance of bird life and pademelons ( small marsupials ) to finish with awesome views of the Glass House Mountains whilst enjoying a cream tea....whats not to love!!
@Radhika25 That sounds incredible 😍 Does any wildlife pay your studio visits at times or do they stay in the Parks and Reserves?
Yes we live directly opposite the National Park so we are lucky enough to be regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras ( every sunrise & sunset! ) , black cockatoos, a huge array of parrots, blue tongue lizards and the occasional carpet python....its a haven for wildlife! :))
