Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

Hi, I'm Louise and live in Whanganui, New Zealand. We run a Mountain Bike Park and have just completed building our glamping site, which includes 3 geodesic domes. I have a background in healthcare and business support so setting up this space for visitors to stay and also attend our wellness retreats was an easy solution.

I enjoy hiking, food and spend my time looking after our visitors, nurturing our orchards and regenerating native forrest. Our land is located next to the Whanganui River so we participate in all sorts of outdoor activities.

Hi Paula, we're a private Mountain Bike Park in our 5th season. My son is a trail builder and we had a piece of land so it made sense to make the most of both. The reality is there is a lot of work with not so much return so adding accommodation makes sense.

We've also set up a charitiable trust to get kids on mountain bikes which is wonderful watching kids gain confidence in themselves.

Hello all, I'm new to hosting on Airbnb. My first guest was lovely, polite and civilized. However, I had a very bad experience with my second guests and Airbnb was not helpful in holding them accountable. Hence, I will be removing my listing from Airbnb soon.

Hi Rebecca, I did and while they were helpful in the moment guiding me what to do in a difficult situation with the guest, the resolution centre was not at all. By that time, the damage had been done.

Hi, I am from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Uttar Pradesh is well known for Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is situated in District Agra of Uttar Pradesh. And Rampur is famous for Raza Library, Gandhi Samadhi, Violin and knives. I had started hosting a year ago. My Homestay is located at the prime loacation of Civil lines, Rampur. It is behind Reliance Jewels showroom. It is also approved by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. I like to meet different people from different culture and religions and from different places. My hobbies are: travelling, listening music and watching Movies. I deal in properties and run Homestay in Rampur named "Comfort Villa".

      I am feeling very happy to Joining community center. I have got so many guests from India and abroad since I have started my Home stay. It was great experience to host them. But unfortunately I haven't got any customer through Airbnb Platform. Can you suggest me how to get guest through this platform?
