Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

Hi @Bhumika.  I was born in Sri Lanka, but educated in India and have worked as an English Language Teacher / Lecturer for 15 years in Thailand, Singapore, & S Korea.  I am now, back in India, in the city of Kolkata.  I love to meet people of different cultures, food, music and attire. I love to interact with people of other countries to know more about demography vide interactions. With so many tourists bitten by the travel bug, I wish , I can help them to make their journey a pleasant one.

Hi Rebecca, Thanks for your warm welcome. I am Bala S Venkit, Bala to you and friends.  I hate to say this, that in spite of registering with Airbnb in my hour of  desperate financial need about 7 years ago, my enthusiasm was dampened when nobody, I repeat nobody wanted to be a guest at my place via Airbnb.  This was prior to the pandemic and I was trying in my small wee way to make some sort of headway when the cut throat competition in India was to host foreigners, never mind where they came from.  Things have become, I believe very different now with the advent of Social media and software apps that makes text, images and video calls a breeze.  So much so,  for communication. I wonder if the world of Airbnb has opened up to Social Media apps. If so , I am open for two way communication using my social media ID : #connect2y on Threads, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or Connect2y@yahoo.com.  Knowing & relating to intending hosts to be hosted before they arrive, does make a difference. This is communications, on a higher level..  Can I expect this from Airbnb?

Hello! I am very excited to be a part of this community. I have enjoyed meeting others while traveling. I am even more excited to do that locally and meet others, introducing them to my community by being a host. 

I am 52 and will be married in February. We each had our own home and as I tried to sell mine, I realized the market just was not right for that. I had thought of renting but, through research, found that I really enjoyed the idea of hosting others. I live in Memphis, TN. The city is growing and has much to offer! I love that I can be part of that. 

I enjoy the outdoors! I love hiking and biking and enjoy traveling.

my name is Teresa Waltman! I live in southern Indiana! My husband and I have raised 4 children and decided to renovate the lower level of our home to accommodate overnight guests! ✨ Ask about your listing - You can ask other Hosts to critique your listing, you could be pleasantly surprised at what other people see!

✨ Advice on your space - This is great for general questions about your space specifically, for example, the amenities that you have at the property to what types of sheets that you use.

✨ Help with your business - You can ask those nitty gritty questions about taxes, payouts and more in this section. 

✨ Support with your bookings - Ask for support from Hosts who have mastered the art of hospitality - from reviews, communicating with guests to cancellations.

We're here to support you, so don't be shy and ask any questions you might have. 😊

I'm Chris Wilson, and I’m excited to join this amazing community! I’m a new host from USA,Virginia and absolutely love the idea of sharing unique experiences with people from around the world.

A little about me: I enjoy cooking, hiking, photography and have a passion for exploring different cultures. My accommodation is located in My accommodation is located in a historic neighborhood of Virginia, near breathtaking nature trails like those in Shenandoah National Park and just a short distance from the vibrant heart of the city, where cultural landmarks and modern attractions blend seamlessly, which I think makes it a special place for travelers to explore.
