New to the Community Center? Introduce yourself here โ€Œ๐Ÿ‘‡

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome to the Community Center! ๐Ÿ‘‹  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐Ÿšฒ, playing footballโšฝ, and travelling๐ŸŒ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.

@Bhumika  ๐ŸŒ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ last year! ๐Ÿ“ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ŸŒ† When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ŸŒŽ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐Ÿšฒ and hiking ๐Ÿ”.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ŸŒฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ŸŒŽ as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming ๐ŸŒŠ yoga on the beach ๐Ÿง˜โ€ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐Ÿ™Œ

@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น and as a lover of unique experiencesโ€”from exploring the streets of Rome๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น , Paris ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท, and Toronto ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโ€”I'm here to blend the old with the new.

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โœˆ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โšฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐Ÿฅ˜

@Emilie : I was born in France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท, raised in French Polynesia ๐ŸŒบ and Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. ๐Ÿฒ

Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Warm regards๐ŸŒป,

Elisa

Hi, My name is Joanne. I hope this is the right place to post my self introduction. I also left evolve and jumped water here. ๐Ÿ™‚ My listing got good reviews in the beginning with evolve until later it got bad reviews but evolve failed to notify me. It was about the bugs in the lawn ๐Ÿ™‚ If I had known that feedback in time I may have addressed that before guests left. Anyway I will do it myself now. Not sure if a co-host will help since I am remote from the house. I tried to find a co-host. But one co-host airbnb recommended to me is from Canada. I think it is too far. Thanks!

Hello @J399 ๐Ÿ‘‹

This is absolutely the right place for a self introduction. It's so great to have you here on the Airbnb Community Center with us!

The best place to find a Co-Host is to head to: How to find and become an experienced Co-Host on Airbnb?

But don't forget to come back as the Community Center will be a great space for you to get advice from other Hosts. ๐Ÿ˜  Here are a couple of my favorite boards that you might find helpful:

โœจ Ask about your listing -This is a fantastic board where you can ask other hosts to provide feedback on your listing. It's a great opportunity to get fresh perspectives and make improvements.

โœจ Advice on your space - If you have any questions or need guidance specifically related to your space, this board is perfect for you. Whether it's about amenities, home decor, or even bedding choices, our community is here to assist you.

A huge welcome to the Community Center! It's great to have you here with us. Have you joined us as a host or as a guest, or even both?

Whilst you're here, why not explore what the Community Center has to offer. If you head to the top of the page you'll see the ๐Ÿ” search bar - if you type a question or phrase in there, you'll get lots of results. You can also ask your own questions if you have something particular, or if you're a host, ask for feedback on your listing! ๐Ÿ˜

Hello i am Russell from Australia and relatively new to AirBNB.

For the past 20 years i have run my 2 properties in Paris often remotely while working in my profession across Europe and Australia.  These are not AirBNB properties.

Recently i took on 2 properties in Thailand which are up and running on AirBNB. As i was preparing to launch i got a lot of advice from an experienced AirBNB owner in the same complex ( many thanks Cory ).  The experience with AirBNB is positive and i look forward to continuing.   In the short time i have been on AirBNB i have used support to resolve a few issues.

In the same way i run my Paris places i aim to provide a high quality value experience as a host

Hi Everyone! Thank you for having me in the group. Iโ€™ve been with Airbnb about 7 months now. Iโ€™m from central GA but my husband, Paul and I own a condo in Perdido Key. We used 2 different management companies in the past and made the decision to do it ourselves. Wow! What a game changer. Love it!!! Weโ€™ve learned a lot and always continuing to learn. Itโ€™s great having a family of Airbnb hosts to help each other and grow together on this journey. Thanks again and looking forward to the group posts.

Hello:  I am Dianne and pretty new to being an AirBnB host.  Thus far I have rented 6 times with 5 five star reviews.  This last rental was a disaster and I hesitate to leave a negative review, as I don't want a retaliatory negative review.  However, I would NEVER recommend this guest to anyone.  AirBnB has been giving me the run around as I try to claim damages (burned carpets, divots in the walls, burned leather sofa, etc.).  Any advice?
