Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Hello Airbnb family!  I am a Brazilian/American citizen living in the United States! Like most Brazilians, music and dancing integrate with my life seamlessly. I enjoy live music performances and I believe that if you have the chance to sit it out or dance, you should dance!
I have hosted on Airbnb in Pittsburgh, PA for 10 years.  Initially, just one room. Once I moved to California, the whole house. The nice thing is that I return home occasionally between guests and hang out with my Pittsburgh tribe. 
I advocate for Airbnb experiences in every encounter I can. There are awesome activities out for every taste.

As that Airbnb campaign said in 2015, there is "one less stranger in the world" when you partake in experiences and/or meet an Airbnb host.  Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone! 👋

I'm Kıvanç, and I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful community! I started using Airbnb about 10 years ago, but I’ve been actively hosting for the past two years.

One of the things I love most about hosting is the opportunity to meet people from different cultures, hear new languages, and have interesting conversations. Since I also rent out rooms in my own home, I get to share little moments with my guests—whether it’s offering homemade lemon iced tea from my garden’s lemon tree 🍋, letting them taste my latest pastry experiment 🥐, or even inviting them to join me for a special meal. Recently, I learned how to make sushi 🍣 and shared it with a few guests—it was great to see their happy reactions!

I live in Cyprus and study Radio, TV & Cinema at Girne American University. I mostly stay in Kyrenia, where I rent out both a private apartment and rooms in my villa. Since Cyprus is a popular vacation spot, I love giving my guests recommendations to help them make the most of their trip.

Although I enjoy traveling, my studies and hosting keep me busy. My favorite trips are the ones where I visit my mother during summer—it’s the best kind of vacation. I hope to explore more of Europe and Asia again in the future and discover new places!

Thank you for your kind words! Hosting has been an incredible journey for me. I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming over a hundred guests, and I’ve personally met most of them. Some of these connections even turned into lasting friendships, which is something I truly appreciate.

I think Airbnb is a great business model—not only does it allow us to earn money, but it also creates opportunities for friendships that aren’t solely based on business transactions. In many industries, relationships tend to remain tied to work, but with Airbnb, you get to meet people from different backgrounds and build connections beyond hosting.
