Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards🌻,
Elisa

Hi @Oka228 , it's great to hear from you!
Hosting in Bali sounds wonderful, especially with such beautiful villas near the beach.
What has been your favorite experience as a host so far? 😍
Greetings everyone, I'm delighted to have joined the Airbnb Community Center. I'm based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and I'd love to tell you more about my wonderful country. As an Airbnb host, I'm looking forward to engaging with the community and making a positive impact
Hi @Hinda21 , welcome to our host community! It's great to have you with us.
Do you follow any specific tips to make a great stay for your guests?
We would love to read more about your hosting journey! 🌻
Hi, I'm Pat. My wife and I just built and recently listed our property on Lake Eufaula where we also live across the street in our newly built home. I am an IT and Cybersecurity executive, and my wife is a Wellness Educator and Practitioner. We have 6 children (includes bonus kids) and 8 grandchildren, plus two cats. We met in high school in El Paso, Texas, and reconnected about 4 years ago then married a couple of years ago.
We built our retreat center, Casa Terra Rossa, for wellness retreats and other group events like family reunions, weddings, and Executive retreats. The property is versatile, and we can offer the entire property or as 2 separate complete units.
We're looking forward to learning more about this community and becoming a successful part of it.
Welcome to the community @Patrick3549 ! Your listing sounds like a wonderful place for gatherings and wellness events.
What inspired you and your wife to focus on wellness retreats, and how do you plan to promote Casa Terra Rossa to attract guests? 😍
Hi, I am a new host in the Phoenix, AZ USA area, and am looking forward to being a part of AirBnB and this community! I am fortunate to be accepting my fourth guest today, and so far am enjoying AirBnB overall, but did have a challenging 3rd guest who violated house rules and did a lot of cigarette smoke odor damage to my property that cost me quite a bit of $ and time to resolve (had to pay for ozone treatment as no other cleaning measures were very effective at all). 67% of my guests so far have been really great though, so I am hopeful this guest will be the worst I have to deal with for a while in my new STR journey!
My property is focused on creating a comfortable, modern style retreat for visitors, going above standard measures to make the place feel like their home away from home, and provide them value for their $.
Hi @Ann47012 , Welcome to the Community Center! I have moved your lovely introduction to our latest post so that our hosts don't miss out your comment. Hope that's okay with you!
Thanks, Bhumika!
Yes, to make it feel more like a home away from home I provide the following:
* A few complimentary waters
* Instant coffee, limited Coffee grounds for larger pots of coffee, and a few coffee pods and common coffee additives
* Laundry supplies
* Common condiments, spices and oils in the kitchen.
This way all they have to do is buy any special ingredients and food supplies (hopefully save them a few $ in buying more supplies of these kinds than they might otherwise need during their stay.
Also took care in providing:
* Comfortable beds
* Optional extra pillows
* Suitcase valets with built in hampers for each room
* Clothing hangars for their clothes
* A spot to put any folded clothes in each room if they like
* Multiple computer work spaces with an outlet strip in each room for any digital nomads
* A network printer & supplies should they need to print anything
* High speed internet service
* Online guide for good restaurants and venues nearby
* Restaurant discount coupons (when available) and delivery menus
These are great tips @Ann47012 😍 How do your guests react to these helpful amenities? Do they often mention it in their guest reviews?
On a side note, I truly enjoyed reading the tips you shared!
