Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Sweet! I found it! I am from a medium-ish city in Southern Ontario.

It took me to a Facebook group. I was thinking that there would be a sub-community with in the Airbnb Community website, but this is okay 🙂

Tony here!I had the pleasure of hosting previously when I owned a condo in Bronzeville, Chicago. I was born here in Chicago and have lived in West Hollywood CA along with the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC. Check out our little urban farm nestled in the historic district of Uptown, Chicago. Hosting is going well with the exception of needing to change the listing from a private room within the space to the entire home being private lol. I've submitted a question to the community board for assistance. Yes, I am a licensed real estate broker here in Chicago and I am enjoying the process as things become more familiar.

My name Is Sheri.  My husband Greg and I have recently renovated an apartment area in the second story of our home in October of 2024. We live in St. Johns, Michigan, which is in the middle of the lower peninsula. It’s a lovely small town with a big heart. I’ve always loved hosting, so it’s a good fit for me to have guests come and enjoy meeting up with family or coming for an MSU basketball or football game. I love leaving personal notes and baked goods and snacks, basically showing love to those who cross my path. I thank God for having Superhost status, and loving every single day of it!

Hi @Elisa,

My husband and I bought an old house (1866) back in 2013. It has a wonderful history. My husband is a carpenter (a fantastic carpenter:)) and so this was quite a big project. It was in foreclosure. 
He has worked on the house in his spare time- it was a 5- apartment dwelling before we purchased it. We have made it into a single dwelling, yet it was easy to keep the upstairs as guest suites. Hubs has built, and I decorate. We make a pretty great team! Thanks for asking!
