Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Hi @Mj123 , thanks so much for sharing your lovely introduction with us! Since you like playing pickle ball and tennis, do you provide such gaming amenities at your listing?
Regarding the fire safety plan, I'd highly recommend you to 👉start a new conversation👈 with our experienced hosts, for them to help you with your question!
Looking forward to your discussion with other hosts!
I wish lol - love to play everyday on my own property, but no 😞
There is a really great tennis court closeby walking distance inside the park where one can play both tennis and pickleball.
Yes I can start a new conversation for my questions.
thank you
MJ
That's amazing @Mj123 ! 😍 Is it a Community Center ? I have one nearby as well , with everything ranging from basket ball court, tennis court, swimming pool , volley ball and so much more!
Do your guests visit the park as well to enjoy these activities? What do you recommend them if they're looking for any ideas 😉
@Clari0 I am originally from Colombia and I own a property in Flagstaff, AZ. I live in Phoenix. I love to travel and when I do I rent houses no hotels. 😉
Hi @Clara1009, welcome to the community, and thank you for your introduction!
Where do you host? In Colombia, Flagstaff, or Phoenix? 😊
Regards,
Hi all! My name is Jessica Kelley and I’ve just started hosting in Stockton, New Jersey. Stockton is one of the “River Towns” situated along the Delaware river that separates NJ and PA. I live in the neighboring town of Lambertville.
The area is known for its history, beauty, charm, antiquing, quaint shops, arts, cafes, restaurants and romantic old inns. It is picturesque so a very popular spot for weddings and weekend getaways for New Yorkers and Philadelphians. The towns have recently been appearing on “best small town in the US” lists so we are now seeing tourists visiting from much further away.
I only listed two weeks ago and already have 9 bookings, including a 40 night stay! I’m both excited and nervous. I’m quickly trying to learn all the ropes as I go and am grateful to know that there is a community available for support.
When not hosting, I work for a software company, play and coach golf every chance I get, foster dogs for my local shelter, and have recently taken up agility training with my two Papillon dogs.
So happy to meet you all!
Hello @Jessica4127,
A huge welcome to the community, it's lovely to meet you. 👋
It's fantastic that after just 2 weeks live you already have so many bookings, you're off to a great start! Have you already welcomed your first guests or is the first booking in the near future?
If you have any worries or questions at all, you can start a new conversation by clicking here or using the "Post" button in the upper right corner (if you’re on a computer). Other hosts will happily try to offer advice. 😊
In the meantime, if you get a chance, I would love to see a picture of your Papillon dogs - I hope their agility training is going well so far!
