No communication with AIRBNB or issuing refunds

Need refund- host wants us to have refund! Host tries to call AIRBNB to issue us a refund AIRBNB says no- no communication from AIRBNB prior to July 1st. I need help!!!

It seems this might be your first Air BNB booking, right?  Air BNB will automatically refund you for a cancellation according to the host refund policy.  If your reason for cancellation meets the Air BNB policy for extenuating circumstances the Air BNB policy will override the host and all fees, including Air BNB fees will be refunded.  If your request does not meet the extenuating policy, but the host agrees to a the refund, Air BNB will refund the nightly rate, but not the Air BNB fees.  It is not clear from your post what the total situation is.  Can you elaborate?  Given the current poor Air BNB customer service, it may be a situation in which you will have to be persistent and patient.
