No hot water

No hot water

I rented a place for a month and halfway through I have not had hot water for 2 days and airbnb won't help at all. They want me to book another place at my cost!!!! This is not acceptable. I have given them plenty of time to remedy the situation and they have no interest in doing so.

@Daniel9694   You should contact your Host in the first instance and give them the opportunity to resolve the issue, and if they fail to resolve it you should contact Airbnb.  I attach the link you need below.  Hopefully this will be sorted out for you soon.

I immediately contacted the host and they don't seem to care. I have followed the article you sent and no help at all. I am very frustrated by the support I am receiving.

@Daniel9694  Your Host will have up to 72 hours to resolve this.  You have already made Airbnb aware of the issue and most likely they have also contacted the Host.  Once the 72 hours are up with no resolution, ask Airbnb to cancel the remainder of your reservation and rather than refund you, transfer it to a travel credit for use at another Airbnb.

72 hours with no hot water...that does not seem very fair as I paid for a place with hot water

@Daniel9694  I do agree, but sometimes things are not a ‘quick fix’ and it will take a little time to resolve.  However it is  clear that if a plumber has not been round yet, then it is unlikely this will be resolved and Airbnb should at that point assist you.
