Hello, fellow hosts!
I'm glad to be a part of this community of people who are passionate about hospitality! For some time now, I have discovered how much I enjoy creating pleasant experiences for guests and making sure they feel at home. For me, hospitality isn't just a business, it's a passion – I love adding those little touches that make the difference, from a friendly message to personalized local details.
I'm curious to know what has been your experience as hosts: what motivated you to start and what do you use to give guests the best stays? Let's share ideas and learn from each other!
Salutare, colegi gazde!

Thank you for the invite.
I am passionate to be a successful business. A small business but success is always identify the market and provide what the market desires at a price we both are satisfied with in the end.
Markets are different so market needs are different. What is a great idea at one rental can be a flop at another.
There are great free Airbnb Tools I strongly suggest review. I often look at my various listings insights page to review my ads. Priorities change people are a changing market.
Airbnb Custom Promotions, so many just lower their prices to increase business, lower with a Custom Promotion and depending on your discount Airbnb offers some free marketing.
Airbnb Website has the traffic volume that Internet Search Engines visit often If you have an unique rental large capacity or big tourist site. Use Airbnb Guidebooks, photo captions and your ad wording to highlight "Keywords" people might search for like Volcano in Hawaii.
@Elisa @Radu89 . My passion is for curating spaces that are in some way customised to the particular guests. Anything from the type of snacks to couch throws and cushions to local events.
I have a Valentines Day weekend couple stay coming up so thats always an opportunity. I found some heart shaped lollies with cute emojis. There will be champs and chocolates in the fridge as well.
Hi @Frances3408 😊,
Thank you so much for sharing all this!
I love seeing how dedicated you are to your guests. 😍 Do you ask for an additional fee to arrange surprises for Valentine’s Day?
@Radu89, I’m just checking if you’ve seen the wonderful comments from our experienced hosts @Marie8425 and @Hayley185. What do you think?
Warm regards 🌻

@Elisa. No extra fee. He didnt ask for anything, just mentioned it was a suprise stay for his partner. I know money is tight all around so I help where I can.
We always supply chocolates at a stay and they are rarely left behind 😉
Hello Radu89,
For myself, my passion stems from creating a space and experience for guests to really enjoy plus wanting them to leave, feeling they have gained peace and relaxation from their stay. My passion is styling, and creating that healing, space. I love creating comfort through quality linens and bedding, furniture, presentation of the property is perfect, lighting, and additional things such cushions and throws, books, and kids toys. I create a space which is very homely, having all the guests need, with a touch of luxury.
Some of the properties offer wine and cookies or chocolates (local), some personal notes and beers, some offer granola, milk and crackers. I find these personal touches are appreciated.
Communication with my guests, i keep personal, i offer endless amounts of information about the property plus the surrounding area and tourist attractions etc.
I hope this helps:)
I am interested to hear what others have to say also.
Best of luck
Hayley
Hi @Radu89 I've been a Superhost for over 10 years in the UK. In my opinion, the most important thing is to ensure that check-in is seamless, the listing is spotless, and that everything works, - the heating, the hot water, the lights, all appliances, etc. And that you respond to guest messages extremely promptly.
I've been a guest many times. These are the things I care about most, as a guest and as a host.
Of course, I have provided extras, over the years, to various guests - for example with a honeymoon couple, I put two crystal glasses and a bottle of champagne in the fridge. Or at Easter I've left a very nice Swiss chocolate egg. I can't remember an occasion where a guest thanked me for that special touch, so I don't do it very often.
