I've had a bad experience staying at an Airbnb and wrote a review describing my experience.
The host has since deleted the listing and listed it again as "new". So obviously my review is no longer showing.
My messages to the host were not replied to and I wanted to warn others about this.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
TIA.
@Susanne462 You could report to Airbnb that the host deleted her original account and put up a new one to get rid of your review warning future guests that the host didn't respond to your messages.
How do I report to Airbnb?
Thank you for your message!
@Susanne462 The host's profile will still contain all of their previous reviews, including those for deactivated listings. This is not something you need to take any further action on.
So I checked their listing and it had 0 reviews when it previously had 5 or 6. How can this be? I do want to warn others.
It was such a rip off and this was the only weekend I could afford for vacation this year.
Thank you for your response!
The reviews are not gone, they remain in the profile of the host.
The listing can be deactivated, cloned and relisted again as "new"
@Susanne462 Jeesh, this is sounding a lot more like a personal vendetta than a public service.
I'm sorry that you had a disappointing vacation, but it's been weeks now. For goodness' sake, move on with your life.
